After running the Final Approach Knockout Layout Blind for multiple seasons, I’m excited to share my thoughts for anyone considering upgrading their layout blind. If you’ve spent any time waterfowl hunting, you know a reliable blind is one of the most important pieces of gear you can own. A good blind keeps you hidden, comfortable, and ready for fast shooting opportunities, and after years of use in the field, the Knockout from Final Approach has truly earned my respect.

When I first pulled the Knockout out of the box, the build quality stood out immediately. The heavy‑duty fabric, solid frame, and smart folding design made assembly quick and painless. While initial setup took a little time, the beauty of this blind is that it’s a one‑and‑done system. Once assembled, it sets up and tears down faster than any other half‑frame blind I’ve used. The doors operate smoothly, and the stubble straps are perfectly placed for brushing in. I like to fully grass it with Whoopgrass ahead of time, so when I’m in the field, all I need to do is spend a few minutes adding natural cover to match the environment.

When it comes to comfort, the Knockout really shines. The seat and backrest provide plenty of support for long sits, so you’re not constantly shifting around, and the low‑profile design keeps you tight to the ground for better concealment. Interior space is impressive as well. The wide sides and generous depth behind the backrest make it comfortable even for bigger hunters, with plenty of room to keep all your essentials within easy reach.

Concealment is top‑notch. Once brushed in, the blind disappears into the field, and even late‑season birds that have been heavily pressured were finishing well within range. The stubble straps hold brush securely, even after multiple hunts. The mesh face and head shields feature bendable wire that holds shape and PVC coating for added durability. They’re easy to see through and do an excellent job of breaking up your outline. When this blind is brushed in, it flat‑out looks great.

Durability has been excellent after multiple seasons. The fabric has held up with only a few small rips, zippers still work like new, and the frame hasn’t bent or warped despite heavy use in rough conditions. This blind is built to take a beating; you can even stand on the frame without issue. That level of toughness is exactly what I expect when I add a Final Approach layout blind to my lineup.
